Walkability Data Collection Study

Eureka Springs Embarks on Three-Month Walkability Data Collection Study

In a bid to enhance pedestrian experiences and foster a more walkable community, Eureka Springs is proud to announce the launch of a comprehensive data collection study commencing April 6 and continuing through June 15.

Aligned with the spirit of National Walking Day, this initiative is a collaborative effort led by the Eureka Springs Planning Commission, Eureka Springs Historic District Commission, Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation, and Main Street Eureka Springs.

Walk With Us

Join Civic Leaders each Wednesday morning as we walk in Downtown Eureka Springs, and they share their vision for our community. The walk will start at our Hub at Main Stage at 8:30 AM and return at 9:30 AM. We will listen and talk during the walk as the invited Civic Leader shares their vision for the future. Walk With Us isn't a problem-solving or complaining session - this is a chance to speak with Civic Leaders about what they hope and dream for our community.

Preservation Points

Preservation Point is a new feature of Main Street Eureka Springs, where we share some of the information we have gleaned over the years through our connection to preservation organizations and leaders in the country. Main Street Eureka Springs has its roots deeply planted in the preservation movement and sees the historic built environment as the community's richest asset to build economic development opportunities in conjunction with the natural landscape of the Ozarks. We are working in collaboration with the Historic District Commission of Eureka Springs to develop these educational focus points.
