Oz Inc Wholesale Market Lead

Background: Main Street Eureka Springs has launched the Ozark Incubator (OZ INC) – an artist and maker business incubator as part of their commitment to entrepreneur development. OZ INC, as part of the 3 cohorts run a year includes a wholesale market for the participants to help them make direct relationships with retailers in Northwest Arkansas, get feedback, and expand their opportunities.

Summary of the Position: The OZ INC Wholesale Market Lead will develop a market that coincides with the last session of each cohort (July, August & April). The Market Lead will project manage and lead the curation, administration, and production support of the Wholesale Markets. They will work closely with the members of the cohorts to ready them for the market, establish and continue relationships with retailers to attend the event, and help develop the strategy to market the show to the region. Working closely with the Main Street Eureka Springs Executive Director and the OZ INC Facilitator the Wholesale Market Lead will be responsible for implementing each market to support the Oz Inc and Retailer ecosystem in Northwest Arkansas. This role will work collaboratively with Main Street Eureka Springs, the cohort members, local retailers, partners, and the public. 

Job Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Establish planning and execution timelines and ensure that all deadlines are met.

  • Develop Northwest Arkansas Retailers invitee lists & initiate relationships.

  • Work with OZ INC cohort members to coordinate their individual presentation and set up of their work at the Wholesale Market

  • Develop and execute VIP event for selected Retailers to provide individual feedback to cohort members.

  • Serve as liaison for the Wholesale Market to Executive Director and OZ INC Facilitator

  • Coordinate with Main Street Eureka Springs to create promotional materials and advertise events.

  • Recommend, oversee and coordinate event contractors and volunteers.

  • Handle all administrative details associated with event delivery, including identifying venues, arranging entertainment, coordinating staff and volunteers, communicating with attendees, and otherwise ensuring that events run smoothly.

  • Monitor and adhere to event budgets and provide reports to ED as needed.

  • Assess and evaluate events and adjust accordingly.

Qualifications 

  • Experience coordinating events

  • Strong ability to work with a diverse range of personalities and production types

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Work is a combination of on-site and virtual.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
